Village Green Events Return for Spring
After a year of cancelled events due to the pandemic, Old Glossop Village Green is set to host its first community events since March 2020. The Spring Festival is planned for May, featuring local musicians, food stalls, and children's activities.
Event organizer Janet Wilson commented: "We're so excited to bring the community together again safely. We've learned a lot about outdoor event management and will be following all government guidelines."
The festival will also include a craft fair showcasing local artisans and a dog show sponsored by the local veterinary practice.

School Achieves Outstanding Rating
Old Glossop Primary School has been rated 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted inspectors, marking a significant improvement from its previous 'Good' rating three years ago.
Headteacher Mrs. Patricia Davies said: "This recognition reflects the hard work of our entire school community - staff, pupils, parents, and governors. We're particularly proud of our innovative approach to outdoor learning."
